Cognac- Calvados Contest 14th April 2025
Contest Rules
Theme: Colorful Cocktail
Each participant will have 2 minutes to explain their cocktail choice based on the theme.
Preparation & Execution
Participants will have 15 minutes to create their decoration (all decorations must be assembled on-site).
2 minutes will be given to familiarize themselves with their workspace.
7 minutes to prepare three identical servings of their cocktail.
Main Spirit
The cocktail must be made using either Calvados or Cognac.
The assigned bottle will be provided on the day of the competition, meaning participants will not know in advance which spirit they will work with.
IBA Compliance
The cocktail must adhere to IBA (International Bartenders Association) standards.
Sponsored Ingredients
Each cocktail must include at least 2 cl of one sponsored product from the following brands:
Boiron, Giffard, Hysope, Cinoco, 1840 Spirits, Domaine de la Flaguerie.
Equipment & Ingredients
Each participant must bring their own equipment, ingredients, and glassware.
Eligibility
Participants must be active UBB members with their 2025 membership fees paid.
Judging
The jury’s decision is final and cannot be contested.
